Pareidolia_Apo
The physical piece was created during the lockdowns in 2020. Out of work, with time on my hands, I started experimenting with new artistic techniques. The original artwork was created by splashing acrylic paints onto a canvas randomly. These splashes were than transformed into images that I saw within the paint splatter. I took the physical piece of art and transformed it into a GIF. The movement within the GIF is representative of the processes of transformation from chaos to order within each piece.
The title Pareidolia was chosen since the definition of pareidolia is the human ability to see shapes, make pictures out of randomness.
