A childhood experience filled with excitement at the chance of finding treasure in a bag washed up on the edge of a lake turned into the horrific realisation that a grown-up had tied those kittens in the sack and thrown them out to drown.
I will never forget that day when my brother and I pulled the bag from the lake. The kittens were dead with terror on their faces and we spent an endless time trying to revive them. I created these pieces reliving that time in every second.
