The palace was an oligarchical paradise for the remaining men of Earth.  The residents were the sons of the movers and shakers of Earth who for generations had survived on the exploitative progress of a kabal of players who saw the whole picture and capitalized on their unique vision for Earth.  Regular men were bred out of the picture, and this class of men’s schemes resulted in the disappearance of male traits and male genetic properties like the Y chromosome.  Elsa was unhappy as a member of their massive harem.  When the opposition party formed, she was an early participant in the rebellion led by the tribes confederation.  Sam values her highly for her role in the overthrow of the palace, and her part in gaining access to the spaceship Sentinel.  Her future on Planet Nymph is bright.
